Dear friends,
April was a very exciting month at Boisset. We surpassed our commitment to donate 1.2 million meals as part of our Fight Against Hunger campaign on April 21st during our Food Drop in Springfield, MO. I also had the great privilege of speaking at the North Bay Business Journal’s Conference on April 22nd, and welcoming a new Chicago distributor, Heritage Wines, to the family.
This month, we are working hard on constructing a Boisset Family Estates tasting room in downtown Healdsburg (located in northern Sonoma County) that will open this June under the name Boisset Taste of Terroir! We are putting together a very unique tasting experience focused on discovering the impact that terroir has on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from France and the U.S. Be sure to connect with the Boisset Taste of Terroir on Facebook to follow its construction and evolution!
Next month is Auction Napa Valley and this will be my first year attending as the owner of a Napa Valley winery! We have a fabulous lot of Raymond wines on auction comprised of a wine from every vintage from 1974 to 2008! For those of you attending, I look forward to seeing you there; remember to bid high, it's for a great cause!
Warmest and faithfully personal wishes,
Jean-Charles Boisset
President

Fight Against Hunger Food Drop Provides 112,000 Meals to Missouri Families

On April 21, Boisset Family Estates, in partnership with Brown Derby’s International Wine Center, donated more than 15,000 lbs. of food to provide a total of 112,000 meals for 200 families in Springfield, MO. This donation was part of Boisset’s Fight Against Hunger, a national campaign to combat hunger in local communities through the sale of its wines. Boisset donated more than 1.2 million meals to communities in Springfield, Dallas, Indianapolis, Denver, Boston, and the San Francisco Bay Area in 2009-2010.
Brad Feuerbacher, Director of Operations for Brown Derby, commented: “Recent statistics show that 1 in 5 children in Missouri are on the brink of hunger and are among the neediest and hungriest in the United States. Brown Derby is proud to partner with Boisset Family Estates to tackle the epidemic of hunger in our community. As a local business with a strong sense of serving the community, we hope events like these not only promote awareness of the problem of hunger but provide immediate relief to families in need.”
