Five generations of the Raymond family imbued the winery with its deep roots, dating back to the earliest foundations of winegrowing in the Napa Valley. The original 90 acre estate in Rutherford has since expanded to over 300 acres throughout the Napa Valley while building a legacy of elegant wines with a beautiful balance of finesse, power and complexity. The commitment to maintaining this legacy of family roots and winery tradition is apparent in the Raymond Vineyards wines themselves. Raymond has continued its tradition of family winemaking by becoming a part of the Boisset Family Estates collection of wineries in August 2009. An increased commitment to producing the highest quality Napa Cabernet resulted in the selection of new Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards, and in early 2010 organic farming methods were implemented in pursuit of eventually achieving organic certification for the estate vineyards, a hallmark of Boisset properties worldwide. To introduce guests to this environmentally friendly method of farming, a unique Theater of Nature has been created on the property, showcasing nature’s key role in the production of these iconic wines. |
